Symbol of divine approval and favor. This tree is one of the first to bloom in the spring thus represents the promise of renewed life.

WATER

Is a symbol for purity and innocence.

PELICAN

This bird has the greatest love of all creatures for its offspring. According to legend, it will pierce its breast to feed them with its own blood. It is on the basis of this legend that the pelican came to symbolize Christ’s sacrifice of the Cross because of His love for God’s children.

CHILDREN

Are given and blessed by God as the hope for humankind.
